I have to preface this post by saying how deeply honored we are to be chosen as a recipient family for the 3^rd Annual Henry Tucker Memorial Ragball Tourney.

History

I wanted to post on here and let everyone know about the 3rd annual Henry Tucker Memorial Ragball Tourney. Many of you may have heard of Henry Tucker. www.caringbridge.org/visit/henrytucker Henry died July 14th 2007 after a 4 yr battle w/ leukemia . When Henry had relapsed in 2006 after being in remission for 3 years, friends and family put together a “ragball tournament” to raise $ for Henry and his family and for a neighbor, Gayle Roswarski www.caringbridge.org/visit/gayleroswarski , morther of four, fighting stage 4 breast cancer. It was known as the Tucker/Roswarski Ragball tourney.

This year Henry’s Aunt Bobo was in touch with me and asked if we would be recipients this year along with another family.

The tournament is scheduled for 10-18-08. Ragball is like softball but you don’t use gloves. The event is held at Hershey Elementary baseball fields. Last year there were some great items in the silent auction and everyone is hoping to make it bigger this year. D & R will be there all day serving food, along with a concession stand. We will have activites for kids and there is a great playground right there.

We hope to get some teams together for the tournament and LCS is helping to do this. If you’re interested, please email and I will get your name to the right person.
