It is kind of a touchy subject for us which is why I’ve been loathe to post it. It’s not that we’re asking for this, we have people wanting it. We just want to assure you that every dollar is going to the welfare of AJ, the family, the hospital expense, the 2nd apartment expense and gas. The generosity of the community and the love we’ve received are so overwhelming, it reminds me of the movie: ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’. You don’t realize how wonderful your life is until a crisis or tradgedy like this happens. (BTW, IAWL, one of my all-time favorite movies in the world, and I don’t believe it’s just for Christmas either).

Anyway, the most important thing is prayer. It’s in His Hands.

Treatments began at the Midwest Photon at IU-Bloomington on Thursday. Talk about sci-fi, this place feels like being in an episode of Star Trek! Here are a few from Thursday:

Treatment #20 was the last radiation treatment at IU-Indianapolis for AJ.

Here we are under the bell. When you are done with radiation you get to ring the bell, unfortunately AJ was still too groggy from anesthesia to care, I rang it for him, but it is kind of cheating because we still have 11 more to go at IU.

A couple weeks after AJ had been in the hospital his teacher sent home his Monday envelope of homework and stuff he’d been working on. This prayer was in it and it made me just cry. I wish I could’ve done more, demanded more when we did go to the Dr. anything, I just didn’t know it was so bad.

Chris set AJ’s bike up on his indoor trainer for a little excercise this weekend.
